Is grilling allowed in the Parks?

Grilling is allowed at picnic sites when you have a Milwaukee County Parks Picnic Rental Permit or when you are using a Designated First-Come, First-Served Picnic Area.

Grills are NOT available on-site; you'd need to bring your own. Grilling must be confined to enclosed metal containers.

Deep fryers are PROHIBITED.

Pig roasts must be done above ground. You may NOT dig a pit in the ground.

WHEN YOU ARE THROUGH GRILLING. . .
You must let hot coals cool down or douse them with water and disposed of them in designated coal containers, marked "Hot Coals." Disposing of coals on grass, at the base of a tree or at any other location is PROHIBITED. If you cannot find the "Hot Coals" bin, you must take the coals with you and dispose of them at your home.
