Grant Park - North Access Improvements
Updated October 13, 2021
Project Scope
This project includes improvements to the northernmost access point to Grant Park, accessible off of S. Lake Drive. This access point services the northernmost playground, picnic areas #7, 8, and 9, soccer fields, the Wil-O-Way Grant facility, and it also intersects the Oak Leaf Trail. Currently, the roads and parking lots in this area are deteriorated and have reached the end of their useful life.
This project will result in the replacement of the access drive, the parking lot near the playground and picnic areas, and the roadway and parking lot for Wil-O-Way, including the circular drive. Storm water best management practices, green infrastructure, and relocation of trash disposal facilities will also be incorporated into the project.
