Waterparks

Cool Waters is 20 years old this summer. To celebrate, the park has brand new body and tube waterslides to add to the fun. The park also features a zero-depth heated pool, children's waterslides, interactive watertoys, a children's playground, and Cool's Cafe.

Cool Waters is open 10am-8pm Mon-Thu and 10a.m.-6p.m. on weekends. Daily entry is $5.50 for kids, $7.25 for ages 12+. Get unlimited entry all summer to Schulz and Cool Waters with a Splash & Slide Season Pass.

Outdoor Pools

Daily at Various Parks


Cool off at nine outdoor pools across the county. Pools open daily from 12:30 - 4:30p.m. and offer evening swim times twice a week. 

For kids ages 3 to 11, admission is only $2; kids 12 and older $3. Bring some extra change (50c) for the locker/basket/clothes check service. Outdoor pools are at Hales Corners Park, Jackson Park, Kosciuszko Park, Sheridan Park, Wilson Park, Grobschmidt Park, Holler Park, McCarty Park and Washington Park

Get unlimited entry to all outdoor pools with an Open Swim Season Pass for only $30 ($20 for kids)

Wading Pools

Twenty-seven shallow wading pools are dotted around the county. These pools are free to use and open four hours each day. Hours vary for each pool, so check the website for specific hours for each location. Wading pools are staffed during open hours and have restrooms and changing facilities.

Splash Pads

Daily at Various Parks


Eight splash pads around the county are free to use. Kids can enjoy interactive watertoys including giant mushroom waterfalls, ground water-jets, spray posts and water-spray spirals. Splash pads are open daily from 11a.m.-5p.m. through August 13 (Washington Park splash pad is open 12:30p.m.-4:30p.m.). Splash pads are perfect for accompanied kids up to 12 years old.

Free splash pads are available at Carver Park, Clarke Square, Dineen Park, Gordon Park, Lindbergh Park, Moody Park, Madison Park and Washington Park

Take a Dip in Lake Michigan

daily at Bradford Beach

Bradford Beach, named one of the top urban beaches in the U.S., is Milwaukee's best spot for lake swimming. Swim in designated swimming areas only, when lifeguards are on duty, (daily from 11a.m.- 5p.m.). Inflatables are not allowed in the water during guarded hours.
